These terms are written to be read, not to be buried. By joining Sève, you agree to these terms. Please take a moment with them.
The service
Sève is a digital nature connection practice operated by Fleurbain (Tamara Schmidt), a sole proprietorship based in Cowansville, Quebec, Canada. The service is available at seve.fleurbain.com and as a Progressive Web App (PWA) installable on your device.
Sève includes a daily practice of five questions and seasonal invitations, guided audio recordings, a feeling check-in, a nature time tracker, a community photo wall (Met), and a community poem (Rising). Features are added regularly. Founding members receive access to all features as they launch.
Your membership
Sève is a paid subscription service. By completing your purchase through Paddle, you enter into a subscription agreement. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions, meaning Paddle is the seller of record and handles payment processing, invoicing, and applicable tax collection and remittance.
Your subscription renews automatically each year on the anniversary of your original purchase. You will receive a reminder email before renewal. You may cancel at any time through your account or by contacting hello@fleurbain.com.
Founding member pricing is locked in for as long as your membership remains active and in good standing. If you cancel and later rejoin, the founding price may no longer be available.
Pricing and taxes
The founding member price is CAD $84 per year, billed annually. Applicable taxes (including Quebec's GST and QST at 14.975% for Quebec residents) are calculated and collected at checkout by Paddle. The price shown at checkout is the total you will be charged, including all applicable taxes.
Prices may increase for new members in the future. Founding members retain their original price for as long as their membership remains active.
Acceptable use
Sève is a quiet, intentional space. By joining, you agree to:
- Use the service for your own personal, non-commercial nature practice
- Contribute only photos and words that are your own original work
- Not upload content that is harmful, hateful, sexually explicit, or violates anyone's rights
- Respect other members and the tone of the space
- Not attempt to access, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
Community contributions (photos, words) reflect the member community and do not represent the views of Fleurbain. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these principles and to terminate memberships for serious or repeated violations, without refund.
Your content
You retain ownership of any photos or words you contribute to Sève. By contributing them, you grant Fleurbain a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your contributions within the Sève app to other members. We will not use your contributions in marketing materials without your explicit permission.
Wellness disclaimer
Sève is a wellness practice companion. It is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, mental health support, or crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please seek professional help immediately.
The nature time research referenced in the app (University of Exeter, 2019) is provided for context. Sève does not make medical claims.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Sève available and running well, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, improve, or modify features at any time. We will give members reasonable notice of any significant changes that affect their experience.
If Sève is ever discontinued, members will receive at least 30 days' notice and a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of their annual subscription.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Fleurbain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sève. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec.
