Sève
what's alive in you

A daily practice
for the ones who
keep powering through.

Sève is a guided nature connection practice for people who are good at doing what needs to be done, and have slowly lost the thread back to themselves. Each day, five questions. A few minutes outside. The living world, meeting you where you are.

Here's what Sève looks like from the inside.

A short intro to the practice, in my own words, walking you through an ordinary day with the app.

Three minutes.
The living world.
You.

Most of us are good at getting through the day. We do what needs to be done. We keep moving. What we are less practiced at is stopping, even briefly, to ask how we actually feel and what we actually need.

Sève is built around that pause. Each day, a seasonal invitation drawn from where nature is right now. Five questions that move from noticing what is outside to sensing what is inside. A feeling check-in that doesn't try to fix anything, just names what is there.

Even three minutes makes a difference. And a 2019 University of Exeter study of 20,000 people found that 120 minutes a week in a green space is the threshold for good health and psychological well-being. Not more. Just that. Sève helps you get there without it feeling like another thing on your list.

Everything you need.
Nothing you don't.

Sève is a complete daily practice, not a content library to get lost in.

Five daily questions

They move from observation to sensation to something truer. Each week draws from where the season actually is.

The rising poem

One word a day. Together, members are writing a living poem about what they see and feel in the natural world.

Tamara Schmidt, founder of Sève

I built this because I needed it.

In 2020 I was living in Montreal and walking every day to whatever green space I could find. I was a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, which sounds like I had it figured out. I didn't. I was powering through my days, doing what I thought I ought to do, tuning out how I actually felt so I could keep going.

What I noticed on those walks was simple. By the time I arrived at the park, something had shifted. I could feel what I was actually feeling. And from that alive place, I could think about my life more clearly. Not with all the noise turned up. With it turned down.

Over time, asked daily, one question changed things for me. What would be the most loving thing I could offer myself today. It sounds small. It wasn't. It helped me make real changes in my life. The kind I had been circling for years.

I'm a Wayfinder Life Coach and a Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. I built Sève by combining those two things with what I know from my own daily practice. It is not a content library. It is a return practice. A way of learning, slowly, that tending yourself is not indulgent. It is how you find your way back.

I'm the sole creator of this space. If you write to me, I write back within 48 hours. You are not a user here.
